Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
on all facility machinery and equipment to sustain production at high efficiency levels. Must apply
technical knowledge and experience to ensure that all repairs and set-ups are performed in a safe,
accurate, and timely manner. The Maintenance Technician must be able to perform a variety of jobs,
tasks or duties as required.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily maintenance needs and routine preventive maintenance work to ensure the proper
upkeep of the machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment within the designated facility. This
may include, but is not limited to, conveyors, PLC, packaging equipment, minor electrical,
hydraulics, refrigeration, water, sewer, treatment, etc. This may require reading service manuals.
- Assemble, maintain, and repair office area including lighting, bathroom plumbing, paint, trim and
furniture. Clean, patch and paint as needed.
- Ensure that all maintenance tools are in good working condition and stored neatly and securely.
- Maintain tool inventory. May assist with sourcing tools, parts and supplies
- Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
- Ensure compliance with food health and safety policies
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
Job Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is required to do the following:
- Frequently is required to stand, use hands, fingers, feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision, depth
perception, and ability to adjust focus.
